Tulum Downtown is walkable and filled with restaurants, cafés, shops, and local markets. Biking is one of the most popular ways to get around; there are rental shops throughout town and many bike-friendly paths that connect to the beach and nearby cenotes. Taxis are widely available and affordable for short rides, especially to Tulum’s Hotel Zon the famous beachfront strip with world-class beach clubs, oceanfront restaurants, designer boutiques, and vibrant nightlife.

If you're planning to visit cenotes, beach clubs, or Mayan ruins, renting a scooter or car can be a convenient option. Colectivos (shared vans) are an affordable way to reach nearby destinations like Akumal, Coba, and Playa del Carmen.
